Cellist, Dr. Mimi Kim, joined Princeton String Academy in 2012 to spearhead our new cello program. Dr. Kim has degrees in cello performance from Rice University and the University of Michigan and has studied with some of the most prominent pedagogues in America including Norman Fischer, Robert Culver, Tanya Carey, and Anthony Elliott. Her students have performed in Carnegie Hall and received full music scholarships for college study and at prominent secondary institutions such as the Interlochen Arts Academy. Dr. Kim recently moved back to NJ after living in Michigan for 12 years where she was assistant camerata director and cello teacher at the Suzuki Royal Oak Institute of Music.
